We have an exciting position for a System Administrator (SA) who will provide support on the ground system components used for the Enhanced Polar System Replenishment and Sustainment Control and Planning Segment (EPS/EPS-R-CAPS) contracts as part of the polar, secure MILSATCOM portfolio of programs in Redondo Beach, CA, providing space-enabled, secure communications capabilities to polar users in support of national objectives. EPS/EPS-R CAPS provides telemetry and control, mission planning and cryptographic planning for the EPS and EPS-R payloads.

Responsibilities Include:

1) Providing support to the development, operations, and sustainment of the ground system to include application servers, database servers, workstations, secure data/voice/video networks and data backup/archival library.

2) Supporting the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of software patches and releases, maintaining the system Authority to Operate (ATO) via Security Technical Information Guides (STIG), performing standard systems administration and hardware sustainment tasks.

3) The SA supports segment and system level testing, provides risk assessments, trend analysis and provides recommended solutions to System Engineering and is also responsible for providing current system status to the Lead System Administrator.

Minimum qualifications:

Experience in three or more of the following: VMWare/ESXI, Solaris 10/11, Active Directory, IDS/IPS Firewalls, Cisco IOS, EMC Storage, IP networks and RHEL Systems Administration.

Experience supporting real-time operations, and the ground hardware and software involved with mission operations.

Experience with implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and configuration standards for DOD IA and IA-enabled devices/systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Splunk dashboards and queries

Experience in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform

Understanding of networking, subnetting, firewalls, NAT, ACL's, etc

Familiarity with HBSS (ePolicy Orchestrator, McAfee Antivirus, HIPS, Policy Auditor, RSD) and MACC

Familiarity with STIG/SCAP compliance scanning and implementation

Familiarity or experience with Agile development methodologies, i.e. Kanban

Bachelor’s Degree in Network Administration, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer H/W or S/W Engineering or related technical degree.

5 Years of technical experience in a related field are acceptable in lieu of a degree.
