Infinity Systems Engineering is in search of a Software Engineer to join our dynamic Infinity team in Colorado Springs, CO at Schriever Space force Base.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The System Engineer will work with a small team to provide 100% accurate IRON database deliveries to meet mission needs of the Space Force community. Accuracy is our mission and we work as a team to support each other in achieving this goal in every IRON Database delivery. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring the satellite program requirements are accurately reflected in a request form, entering the requests into the IRON Database Tool, validating output, testing team’s work at the SCN Test Bed facility, and work with RTS personnel to run a functional check out of the IRON Database.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Inter-Range Operations Number (IRON) Database:

Database the Satellite Communication Network (SCN) utilizes to configure ground station equipment for all Remote Tracking Stations across the world to support Satellite and Launch Vehicle communication. The IRON database is the first step in connecting the satellite operator on the ground with the vehicle in space.

Incumbent will support up to 12 routine IRON databases a year and up to 12 out-of-cycle IRON databases with the possibility of having to support a 48-hour quick turn release that can include lab validation testing. Candidate will receive on the job training in a team environment. Two-way communication is imperative in demonstrating progress and setting expectations. Will be part of the team that maintains the RTS All Parameter IRON Database (RAPID) tool, which is a user-friendly tool developed to provide an accurate representation of the IRON Database contents.

Required Skills:

• Provide support as a technical/operational RTS, communication, and external user contact for the SOC to include RTS Inter-Range Operations Number (IRON) Database (DB) inputs and reviews

• Track and provide inputs on SCN related launch/test critical Change Request Forms (CRF) and modifications

• Clear verbal and written communication skills

• Technical writing experience

• ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance



Desired:

2-5+ years, previous experience with SCN and United States Space Force (previously Air Force Space Command) satellite programs is highly desired.


Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent years of experience.
