We are seeking a Satellite Operator to join our Infinity Systems Engineering team at Schriever Space Force Base, CO.

Summary of responsibilities:

The Satellite Operator will perform satellite command and control of the Navy Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) system at the Naval Satellite Operations Center (NAVSOC), Detachment Delta, Schriever Space Force Base, CO.

Satellite operator is responsible for configuring ground equipment, before satellite contacts, responding to ground system alarms, performing first-level troubleshooting during ground system anomalies, ground system resource assignment, mission planning and real time scheduling.

Satellite Operator documents operational events during shifts and informs the Satellite Operations Center (SOC) Watch Captain (SWC) of any alarms.

The SOC is staffed 16 hours on weekdays. During contingency periods, it requires 24/7 staffing that may include weekends and holidays.

Required Skills:

-Satellite Operator Experience

-Command and Control of a Satellite Constellation

-Mission Planning and Scheduling

Requires: Active Secret Clearance

Travel: Occasional

Bachelor’s degree in related field; in lieu of degree work related experience will be considered

2-10 years experience performing military communications and satellite operations
