Infinity Systems Engineering is is seeking a DevSecOps-Tanzu Platform SME to support the newly awarded NISSC II contract.

Your career at Infinity enables NISSC to fulfill its mission to “provide classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability in organizational work centers at NISSC sites.” As a member of our team, you will support corporate and customer mission to provide world-class IT services and support that connects systems and users across NORAD in the areas of software development/maintenance, network services, cyber security, systems administration, and other mission-critical areas.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The DevSecOps-Tanzu Platform SME independently evaluates, selects, adapts, and modifies standard techniques and criteria in order to plan and conduct engineering assignment. Independently plans, schedules, and conducts or coordinates detailed phases of engineering work through the selection and adaptation or modification of techniques, procedures, and criteria. Analyzes complex features of the work and applies principles and practices of the discipline or devises new approaches in problem solutions. Thoroughly reviews all results from assigned tasks and determine if outputs are complete, correct, integrated with project objectives, and adequately documented.

-Lead a team in the creation of a modern and DoD Approved VMware Tanzu Platform in support of the broader DevSecOps Pipeline effort and CI/CD efforts.

-Responsible for bringing to life a fully functional and DoD Approved VMware Tanzu Platform including specific focus on the interoperability with DoD USAF PlatformONE.

-Meeting quarterly deadlines to create and enhance the Tanzu Platform.

-Responsible to complete the VMware Tanzu Platform Navigator including identifying follow on Agile backlog to be completed in each increment.

-Maintain compatibility / interoperability of all created platform elements with adjacent SDDC and mission systems that are not containerized or are not container eligible.

-Execute all efforts in a collaborative and Scaled Agile fashion while adhering to government mandated fixed due dates.

-Work with Agile teams (developers, testers, operators and other production IT staff to oversee code releases and deployments.

-Foster agile relationship between software development and IT operations, establish and refine Continuous Integration (CI) and automation (key processes, release schedules, and infrastructure designs) so that organization can create and release regular updates to products quickly and efficiently as possible.

-Attend and Participate in Periodic Large Scale Agile Planning events.

-Support standard Agile ritual meetings (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives) as necessary and assist Scrum teams in execution of Sprints.

Required Skills:

-Strong experience with a range of Tanzu products (e.g. Tanzu Application Service, Tanzu Build Service, Tanzu Application Catalogue, Tanzu Data services, Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, Tanzu Mission Control, Tanzu Observability, Tanzu Service Mesh).

-Robust experience with a range of Tanzu FOSS subcomponents (e.g. Kubernetes; Harbor for container registry; Velero for backup and recovery; Sonobuoy for conformance; Cluster API for lifecycle management; Open Policy Agent for policy enforcement; and Antrea for container networking).

-Experience with a range of automation and configuration management tools including but not limited to vRealize Automation, vRealize Operations, Ansible, SCCM, Jenkins, puppet, and others.

-Ability to identify, assess and integrate various open-source technologies and private cloud services (VMware Software defined Data Center VMware Cloud Foundation).

Bachelor's degree is preferred. In lieu of degree relevant work experience will be considered

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience and maintain DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.

$90-$130K This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
