Provides guidance and assistance to all sites as required around the world. Performs as lead for troubleshooting NIPRNet, SIPRNet, WSOMS, RMCE LAN and/or WAN issues. Provides network traffic loading analysis for critical network capacity planning. Maintains and re-engineers equipment and associated components. Installs, tests, repairs, and provides training for WANs and LANs that interface with a variety of military and cryptographic equipment used to interface sites worldwide via any combination of land lines, fiber optic, or satellite links. Controls approved LAN configuration, reconfigures equipment, and develops procedures to support new applications, re-engineered equipment, and/or new uses of systems. Performs network management, system management, and user account management, system and database management of special purpose software applications specific to WSOMS. Assists in preparing accreditation packets and SOPs, performing initial and refresher user-end training, ensuring compliance with all appropriate security guidelines, troubleshooting, and resolution of system problems. Supports maintenance of the SIPRNet and NIPRNet systems. Develops and implements procedures for identification and resolution of complex network anomalies.

Required Skills:

Ability to perform analysis on network loading and throughput issues. Experience in security administration in support of INFOSEC requirements. Ability to act as primary Point of Contact (POC) for all Government agencies representing network security aspects as they relate to the WSOTS II Program. IA certification in compliance with DoD 8570.

Must possess or be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Associates Degree in Applied Science. Two (2) years of recent/relevant experience may be substituted for one (1) year of education.

Minimum 8 years of Military SATCOM experience with emphasis on network control and Earth Terminal (ET) operations and maintenance to include WSOMS networks (LAN/WAN), firewalls, security guards, and Windows system administration and IT tools for managing and troubleshooting networks.
