Summary of Responsibilities:

WICSII supports the DSCS Milstar ground terminal operations and maintenance, and operates the GBS operations center and remote sites. WICS operates, maintains, and logistically supports 50th SW information and communication systems that support the critical, on-orbit, military satellite communication constellations, information assurance and safety services essential to the space operations of over 170 DoD satellites.

Infinity Systems Engineering seeks a MILSATCOM Technical. Position is a SCA Wage Determination 23181 – Electronics Technician Maintenance I

Support is to 24/7 functional area operations; shift work applies. All technicians are subject to potentially work either shift depending on staffing and mission needs.

The Electronic Technician 1 is generally responsible for level 1 Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of the AN/GSC-52B (MET) heavy terminals and the Milstar Air Force Command Post Terminal (AFCPT) as well as maintenance of the AN/USC-28 and the PAAWNS modems. All O&M support activities must be in compliance with POTUS and DoD Directives and Instructions for both peacetime and wartime environments.

Large Fixed Earth Terminal Operations and Maintenance

Provide 24/7 continuous on-site operations and maintenance of two Large Earth Terminals and associated sub systems, components, baseband and interconnect facility equipment. Must comply with all instructions received via the satellite controllers, local Technical Control Facility (TCF)/ Circuit Control Office (CCO), Global Terrestrial Critical Control Circuit System (GTC3S) and ECCM Critical Control Circuit (CCC), and provide all requisite reports and information requested.

Milstar Terminal Operations and Maintenance

Provide 24/7 on-site operations and maintenance of the MILSTAR terminal, EHFASS, and associated sub systems, components and interconnect facility equipment. Must comply with all instructions received via the satellite controllers, local TCF/ CCO, and provide all requisite reports and information requested. Maintain threshold and performance objectives IAW the Joint Operational Requirements Document-Milstar Communications System.

Radome and Base Ring Maintenance

Provide organizational level maintenance of the Large Fixed Earth Terminal’s radomes, base rings and associated equipment and components IAW technical documentation.

Multiple Terminal Outages

Respond to outages impacting mission, initiate organizational level corrective maintenance, and perform maintenance to each terminal outage independently and simultaneously, when they occur.

Status Reporting

Perform all status reporting, Gateway reports, Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) reports, Electronic Counter-Countermeasures (ECCM) reports, System Equipment Reporting System (SERS) reports, Hazardous Condition (HAZCON) reports, After Action Reports (AAR), Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), and reporting as identified in the Colorado Springs Regional Command Post Commanders Operational Reports Handbook.

Authorized Service Interruption (ASI)

Process, submit, and track ASI messages for assigned equipment.

Master Station Log (MSL)

Maintain a Master Station Log (MSL) containing all events relating to the operations and maintenance of the terminals, equipment configuration changes, and facility and utility events that impact the terminals. The log shall be made available for government review throughout the life of the contract utilizing MS Office or PDF approved format.

High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP)

The work location is a HEMP certified facility. The contractor will not make any modifications to the facility or HEMP protection features without obtaining written authorization from the SAFB HEMP Manager. The SAFB HEMP Manager will provide the HEMP training material.


• Must have minimum IAT Level 2 Certification IAW AFMAN 17-1303

• Must have experience, familiarity and aptitude with Satellite Communications (SATCOM), wideband (WB), radar or similar technical level 1 operations and maintenance.

• Military communications or electronics training

• Ability to read schematics and production drawings

• Familiarity with and use of hand tools

• Military Electronics class "A" school preferred

High school diploma

Two (2) years of related experience

Colorado Springs, CO (Shriever Space Force Base)
