We are seeking a GPS OCX. Operations Training /Tech Writer. The qualified applicant will become part of Infinity Systems Engineering Training/Technical Order (TO) Development Team; the team is developing Operations Technical Orders and Training materials for the GPS/OCX.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Coordinating with external stakeholders

• Supporting working groups and technical interchange meetings

• Coordinating with 2/19 SOPS operators and engineers

• Develop, edit, and maintain all technical documentation and participate in all Cadre and Crew training events, Operator Familiarization Training, certification, and verification events

• Collaborate productively with all subject matter experts (SMEs) within a team environment to develop appropriate content. SMEs may include, but are not limited to developers, project managers, training instructors, project leads, and engineers

• Develop a deep understanding regarding the technical operation and theory of operations for GPS/OCX

• Certify documentation against the developmental system in conjunction with the SMEs to ensure documentation is technically accurate and rectify discrepancies as needed

• Prepare graphics to support documentation including screen captures, line drawings and digital photos

• Continually review SharePoint services to monitor changes to the system baseline and ensuring documentation is updated accordingly


• Ability to foster a positive working environment and build solid work relationships with teammates and prime contractor. The writer requires the assistance of a broad range of SMEs and must approach all relationships with a service-minded attitude of flexibility and adaptability.

• Air Force Space Operations experience a plus, highly desired background and knowledge of GPS operations, including experience with training, evaluation, and transitioning new capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate positively in a team environment with people of different levels of experience and education and virtually in geographically disperse locations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Effective analytical skills for scrutinizing and evaluating system operation and maintenance and interpreting into effective documentation

• Proven problem solving and demonstrated teamwork skills

• Excellent writing and grammar skills and be able to work independently, deliver accurate documentation under deadline pressure

• Highly proficient using SharePoint, Microsoft Office Desktop Suite, Microsoft Office 365, and Adobe Acrobat

Duration: 1 year with possible extensions

Some travel to Aurora, CO

Bachelor’s degree. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.

4 + years Operations experience preferred with 2+ years of GPS AEP NAO experience desired.
