Senior Software Engineer [2021-51]


Provide support to the MOSSAIC Prime’s Radar Product Line, Eglin Software Version Release (SVR) project, specifically the following areas:

Perform Software Engineering tasks on IBM Mainframe operating systems.

Provide schedule inputs and estimates of effort required to complete development tasks and consolidate inputs into a single SW development schedule and provide inputs to the System Engineer for input into JIRA/Sprint Planning.

Have a working knowledge of lifecycle engineering of software applications applying traditional and object oriented methodologies to all aspects of engineering, including software requirements development, preliminary design, critical design, software code development, Data Flow diagrams/Class/Sequences diagrams, peer reviews, unit and developmental testing/integration, documentation, completion of deliverables

Conduct unit test, integration and test, document results and integrate software modules in local L3Harris test facilities at 4410/4450 E. Fountain Blvd.

Be familiar with:

• Requirements development, tracing, and management

• Design development and maintenance

• Software development including Unit Test and Integration Test

• Test Plan and Procedure review

• Issue analysis including data analysis, root cause and solution development

• Support to SIL and Site Testing (limited travel)

• Support to Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) development

• Support to customer meetings

Required Skills:

Working knowledge of software development on IBM OS/370, OS/390 JES2, or Z/OS.

Experience with IBM TSP/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, RACF, and SCLM.

Working knowledge of software development in IBM OS

Assembler and FORTRAN 77.

Be familiar with IBM JCL.

Perform code, data analysis, and document inspection to support definition of requirements and design.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
